I was going through my reflections I wrote last year. I came across this one. Last year, you see, I was going through a lot, specially with my health. Despite things, that were happening, I counted my blessings.
I wrote this as a reflection on my Women Sublime Facebook page:
“Lately, my life has been a roller coaster of emotions. Sadness, happiness, doubt, contentment, compassion, feeling of loss, feeling of hopelessness, feeling of helplessness, acceptance, peace, anger and feeling of being loved. If I was younger, I would poke blame on people I had conflict with but I didn’t. I realized that things become so different with how we accept things. How we see and value what we have around us. Only three things kept me going… love, peace and blessings. That is why that’s what I always want to give away because they somehow remind you of what we need to do. Love of people and support specially the presence of just being there has made me deeply rooted and emotionally secured. If you have forgiven people and accepted that things can not change and better things will come, peace silences your soul… Blessings… I count them every day, every time I feel down. I count what I have and still would make me smile because I know somewhere… someone’s praying for the simple things I have. What keeps me going are the people who are with me everyday. People I have not personally met but I call them family. I realize now that…it really helps having people around…validating what you feel, feeling with you… We are not alone. We got each other. With that I am happy.”

Like your focus. It’s really quite simple. As long as we realize and appreciate the fact that it’s about connecting, relationships and love – the rest aligns as it is intended. Believe in yourself, your personal gifts and giving freely to others. Thanks for your! thoughtful post and for tagging my post.

Thanks for stopping by Eric! Yes, blessings we take for granted are the ones that are essential. Sometimes we don’t realize even the challenges we face are blessings in itself because despite the negative it brings, something positive is born from them. We just have to be very keen about it and learn to see what is manifested. On tagging your wonderful post, you are most welcome!
