“I am not a has-been. I am a will be.” ~Lauren Bacall
So many people often think that once life has passed them by they would never have any second chance. They are wrong. Life is filled with second chances. We are the only one who gives our selves limitations.
What’s great in this modern times is that you can re-invent oneself. No one is a has-been. “Has-beens” are often the seasoned workers. They can become a consultant if they want to, writer, an entrepreneur and so much more. We can wear different hats now even all at the same time. They being more for their immense knowledge and skills.
In the modern age now, with the aid of the internet, we can improve ourselves through online classes. There are multitude of skills that could be learned. It’s just a matter of finding the right tool to enhance what you have.
Life today is challenging, I agree, but now what is great about it is we can have a second chance with almost anything. We just have to constantly think outside the box. Even when competition is stiff now and we constantly have to promote ourselves to be noticed, people know what they need and what they are looking for.
What is essential is how we all stand out and show what we can offer. We are all diamonds in the rough. We just have to cut and show our different facets and let ourselves shine. We have to constantly innovate, reinvent and rediscover our real potentials. We will never be a has-been. As long as we have our tools sharp all the time, we can surpass challenges. We are the supreme persona of ourselves. We are always a will be.

Thank you . Even though life is challenging most of the time, we have control over how things can affect us. We always have a choice to fight or be defeated.

I like this post 🙂 I do have another way of seeing it though, something that I learned from reading Osho’s Book of Understanding. He challenges us to instead of constantly trying to be extraordinary, to instead be ordinary – ordinarily us, because we are all unique in our very own way. While every one is trying to be extraordinary…they sort of blend in with the crowd but when we try to be the best that we can be, as ourselves…we shine out instead! Thought I’d share that 😀

Thank you shreejacob. 🙂 Yes. That’s the whole point. We keep on trying to be like everyone else that we miss the point of being our true selves. We have our own briliance (You can read my other blog with the same title.) and we don’t need others to let us shine. We are unique in our own way and that’s what is good.

Lauren Bacall is such an amazing woman. She is my most admired actress from the past. Even though haven’t seen her in her glory days, for me she was the most beautiful in her era.
